GoPro Motorplex’s 5th Annual Food Drive Yields Record-Breaking Donation, 7,260 lbs.

A Thanksgiving tradition, GoPro Motorplex’s 5th Annual Food Drive benefiting the Mooresville Soup Kitchen yielded 7,260 lbs. of canned foods thanks to the tremendous generosity of our customers. GoPro Motorplex’s annual Food Drive continues to be a perfect outlet for us to give back to our community and customers during the holiday season.

As a race track where a competitive spirit goes hand-in-hand with our business model, we always aim to “out-do” the previous year’s donation totals. In 2016, we donated 5,448 lbs., surpassing that number by over 1,800 lbs. this year and setting the bar that much higher for next year.

“We certainly have a competitive spirit here and we are proud to break our donation record this year, but we always like to remember the much bigger goal in helping to provide for those in need,” said GoPro Motorplex President, Dan Kraus. “Our Food Drive is something we look forward to offering each year and we continue to be impressed and humbled by the generosity of our customers. It’s a great way for us to show our appreciation for them by offering a discount all while supporting the great work the Mooresville Soup Kitchen does locally in our community.”

GoPro Motorplex supports the Mooresville Soup Kitchen’s mission of providing nourishing meals and encouragement to those in need in several ways throughout the year. The Mooresville Soup Kitchen is the first stop for many who are in need and looking for direction. They serve over 4,000 meals monthly from their location in downtown Mooresville and provide Emergency Food Boxes and other resources as needed.

GoPro Motorplex encourages the continued support of the Mooresville Soup Kitchen’s efforts year-round. For a list of the immediate needs of the Mooresville Soup Kitchen, please visit
