Goal Reached: 300+ Vehicles and 800 Attendees Cruise-In to GoPro Motorplex
Set early this summer, we were finally able to meet our goal of a 300+ vehicle attendance at our last Victory Lap Cruise-In event of the summer last night at GoPro Motorplex. Over 800 attendees enjoyed perusing last night’s assortment of more than 320 classic and modern cars, trucks and motorcycles on display at our Victory Lap Cruise-In. The event marked the last of three free Cruise-In events held this summer at GoPro Motorplex.
Attendees enjoyed live music by the local Mooresville band, Indefinite, delicious food truck vendors and raffle prizes. Also, the Cruise-In special discount of $10 off Rental Kart races kept the race track full of back-to-back races in our fleet of 55 mph Rental Karts.
In addition, Cruise-In attendees were able to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award. The crowd voted Billy Moose’s 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air as their favorite, winning First Place in the People’s Choice Award for the second time at our Cruise-In events. Rightfully so, Moose’s Bel Air is a gorgeous car that took him five years to build.
First Place was awarded a brand new GoPro HERO4 Silver camera. Coming in second in the People’s Choice Awards was Dale Henson’s 1959 Chevrolet Apache. Placing third in the People’s Choice Awards was Michael Hicks’ 1966 Ford Mustang.
To conclude the evening, all Cruise-In vehicles paraded onto GoPro Motorplex’s 0.7-mile, 11-turn race track for the victory lap. Attendees lined the fence to watch the parade of vehicles under the lights and sunset.
