12 Reasons to Form a 12-Hour Enduro Team, April 29-30!

Time and space are running out to form the winning team for the 12-Hour rental kart Endurance Race, April 29-30! The race begins with a Le Mans start, followed by 12 non-stop hours of karting for your team of drivers. Drivers' physical and mental strength are challenged and the team with the strongest teamwork will prevail. No experience or equipment necessary; just arrive-and-drive. enduro.jpg

Don’t wait! Pre-register a team or as an individual TODAY!

Here are 12 great reasons why you should:

1.) Make History!
The 12-Hour Enduro will be GoPro Motorplex’s LONGEST race yet. Be a part of history when we throw the green flag as one of only 20 teams who fill the entry list.

2.) Fun!
There is no better, more exciting team building or bonding experience with a group of friends than rental kart endurance racing as a team. Racing against friends in our 55 mph rental karts is fun on any day, but when we add the need for driver changes, kart swaps, pit strategy and even two-way radio communication, it adds an unbeatable adrenaline rush for the competition junkie in all of us!

3.) Two-Day Event Format
Make a weekend out of it! By splitting the event into two days, it allows teams plenty of opportunities for quality track time and practice on Friday to prepare for Saturday’s race day.

4.) Le Mans Start
Traditional for our endurance karting events, the race starts with a Le Mans style start in which competitors must run across the track on foot and jump into their karts with assistance from a teammate to buckle the seatbelt before accelerating. While being a unique and fun way to start the race, this start is also very important to each team’s track position and strategy will definitely be in play.

5.) No team? No problem!

We assist drivers who would like to participate in our 12-Hour Enduro, but do not have a team by offering a registration option for individuals that includes team placement. For $250, a driver can register to compete in the Enduro without a team. Depending on registrations, we will match drivers as best as possible by weight and experience to categorize the team as Pro-Am Light, Pro-Am Heavy or Novice. Teams of individual registrations will be formed with approximately 5-7 drivers. A full refund will be given if a team cannot be formed for you.

6.) Novice Division
In addition to the Pro-Am Light and Pro-Am Heavy divisions, there is also a Novice division that will compete for a win. The addition of a Novice class makes the enduros less intimidating for competitors with less experience. Although all divisions are competing on the same track, trophies are awarded to the top-3 teams in every division, making the event rewarding for all experience levels. Also, it is much easier to form a team for the Novice division because the rules mandate a 175+ average team weight instead of requiring each driver to meet a weight minimum.

7.) FREE Catered Dinner
GoPro Motorplex will provide a free catered dinner to all 12-Hour Enduro entries on event day during the race to help your team refuel and reenergize for the last few hours of the race. In addition, a Food Truck with an affordable menu will be onsite during the lunchtime hours for your team’s dining convenience so you don’t have to plan to pack food or leave the track.

8.) Strategy
The 12-Hour Enduro is so much more than just clocking fast laps. The need to form a strategy with your team in order to beat the competition takes the experience to the next level! The competition at our enduro events is next to none with teams entering from across the country. Put together a race-winning strategy with swift, flawless driver changes and your team just may have what it takes. There will be no shortage of mind games during a 12-Hour race!

9.) Bragging Rights
Just finishing an endurance karting race is an accomplishment, so winning the 12-Hour Enduro is certainly worth priceless bragging rights. Of course, every member of your team will leave with a trophy is you finish in the top-three in either of the three divisions.

10.) Nothing.
The best part of our 12-Hour Enduro is that you will need NOTHING to participate. You will use our karts, our weight and even our gear; truly, arrive-and-drive with no equipment needed!

11.) Pit Stops
The entire event is a non-stop adrenaline rush! The race off pit road is just as competitive as each lap on track. The pressure to perform on pit road can even be more intense as costly mistakes can be made during a stop. The rush to “hand off the baton” to your teammate is incredibly important to success as drivers grab their teammates transponders and run to their fresh kart to complete the next leg of the race.

12.) Go the distance! 12 Hours. 600+ Laps. 400+ Miles.
We keep saying it because it’s so exciting! The 12-Hour Enduro on April 29-30 will be our longest race yet. Your team will surely see the value in the event while logging 12, non-stop hours and roughly 600+ laps. That’s over 400 miles of karting! Will your team have what it takes to go the distance?
